Running An Etsy Shop 5 Tips

I started my etsy shop in November of 2018. I am by no means an expert on this, but I am learning and hopefully improving as I go.

I originally wanted to open my shop a few years prior but because of some personal difficulties I never took the plunge.

Last summer I finally started preparing to open my shop. I didn't have many items. I still don't but I will be adding.

Right now I have art prints and originals. I would like to add other products with my art in the future. So what have I learned so far?

Well below I will be sharing my 5 top tips for all of you who are thinking about opening up a store.

Creative Blocks: How To Manage Impostor Syndrome As An Artist

What exactly is impostor syndrome?

Impostor syndrome is basically when a person doubts that their personal accomplishments have meaning to them and they see themselves as a fraud.

My Artistic Beginning...
In 2012 I was talking to a friend and telling her I really wanted to try out acrylic painting. Up until this point I had only done sketches with pencil. We were sitting down for lunch and so when we finished she asked if I wanted to take a trip to Michael's.

We took a trip and next thing I knew I had bought the Artist Loft acrylics and canvases. I was ready to paint.

I went home and I didn't have a desk at the time so I sat on the carpet propped up the canvas with a box behind it and painted.

Ana Victoria Calderon and Dari Luna Workshop Review

I wanted to share with you a review of the workshop Creative Brunch put on by Ana Victoria Calderon and Dari Luna at Makers Mess in LA.
This was a creativity workshop for creative entrepreneurs looking for insight on how to align their personal goals and business goals as creatives.

Both artist have been women that I have been inspired by for the past few years. I discovered Ana probably around 2013 and Dari shortly after.

, Skillshare, & Patreon For Artists

When I first started to teach myself various styles of art I would do it using books mostly.
However, after a while, I started to teach myself using youtube videos.

I'm extremely visual and for me when I see something it's easier to create. One of the issues I had with books is that sometimes they didn't fully explain how they achieved the end result in a painting. However, with youtube videos, I was able to slow it down, pause, and repeat.
